Comprehensive Services

The VRC provides Domestic/IP/Dating/Family Violence, Sexual/RC Violence, Bullying, Stalking, and Child Abuse Services including:


  • 24/7 bilingual (Spanish/English) confidential, toll-free hotline at: 1-866-343-8808 or 1-800-456-1172;
  • Bilingual crisis intervention and Hispanic/Latina & Migrant/Dairy Farmworker Victim Services in the counties of Wayne, Ontario, Yates, Seneca, Livingston, and Cayuga;
  • The only Domestic Violence Shelter for the counties of Wayne, Ontario, Seneca, and Yates.  The VRC also accepts all New York State shelter referrals from surrounding counties;                
  • Personal, community, criminal justice, educational, medical, and legal advocacy;
  • Sexual Assault/Rape Crisis and Domestic/IP Violence Case Management Program;
  • Short-term counseling;
  • Information and referrals;
  • Trauma-informed care – Sanctuary Model;
  • NYS Office of Victim Services (formerly CVB) application assistance;
  • School prevention education programs;
  • Hotline Coverage for Wayne County Homeless and Runaway Youth;
  • Trainings for area law enforcement, DA offices, local magistrates, churches, agencies, First Responders, etc.;
  • Girls Groups & Safe Dates Programs in area schools (VRC – certified facilitator agency);
  • Empowerment/Anger Management Groups;
  • Assistance with filing for all victim Family Court Orders of Protection and Custody Petitions; 
  • Women’s Empowerment Group;
  • “Bringing in the Bystander” Anti-Bullying Program;
  • “Financial Freedom” Empowerment Group;
  • P.A.C.T. (Parents And Children Together);
  • Immigration Assistance for migrant and dairy farmworker victims of domestic and sexual violence in six counties in Upstate New York;
  • Cultural and Linguistic Competency Training for four counties;
  • Sexual Assault, Domestic/Family Violence, and Bullying Programming, including counseling for Children & Teens;
  • Comprehensive prevention education and community outreach program;
  • Darkness 2 Light/Stewards of Children: Facilitating agency for child abuse prevention education;
  • LGBTQIA services to ensure that VAWA protections extend to all victims of domestic/IP/dating violence, sexual assault/RC, bullying, and stalking;
  • “Enough is Enough” program facilitation regarding the NYS legislation on college campus adoption of comprehensive procedures and guidelines;
  • “Stand-up Guy” Men’s Group – “Are you a member of the Silent Majority?”;
  • Wayne County Coalition Against Sexual & Domestic Violence; and
  • Anti-trafficking program.
